MÍA is the story of Alé, a transvestite who lives in a shanty town inhabited only by gays. Alé finds a diary of Mía, a young woman who has died. The empathy she feels for this woman, as she reads the diary, helps Alé come close to her own hidden desire, motherhood, and confronts her with her reality. She starts to watch the lives of the mourning widower and his 10-year-old daughter Julia from a ditance, but soon starts to take care of the lonely Julia against her father’s will.
A colourful and hopeful film about the many different forms of love.
