In 1979 a Civil war breaks out in El Salvador, Central America. It lasts 12 years and leaves more than 80.000 dead and thousands missing. Many villages were laid waste by the army and even ceased to exist on official maps of El Salvador. The film tells the story of a village in the midst of the humid salvadorian jungle, whose inhabitants have returned and have rebuilt their home from ashes.
